Teaching reading is such a rewarding vocation. Watching children go from learning letters and sounds to reading books is an amazing process. I obtained a bachelor of arts from Cedarville University with an additional reading endorsement. While teaching in Newark City Schools, I completed The Ohio State's University Early Learning Literacy's Initiative. Then in 2000, I moved to Perry county and took a position within Northern Local School District. At that point, I decided to pursue a Masters of Educational Leadership at The University of Dayton. Still interested in reading, I chose to complete a Literacy Specialist Endorsement program through The Ohio State University in 2008 . As one of the district's reading teachers, I serve students at Glenford Elementary in the mornings and Somerset Elementary in the afternoons.
