1988 Sheridan High School graduate. Played football at Sheridan and was a member of 3 MVL Championships, 3 playoff teams, and the 1987 State Runner-Up Team. Also played basketball at Sheridan and was a member of the 1988 MVL Championship Team and 2 District Runner-up teams. Inducted into the Sheridan High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2005.
Graduated from Wittenberg University in 1992 and was a 4 year member of the Tiger Basketball Team. While at Wittenberg played on teams that had a record of 105-14 and won 4 conference championships and made it to the NCAA Tournament all 4 years.
Has been a teacher and coach at Sheridan for the past 28 years. Taught at Sheridan Middle School for 21 years and has been the Athletic Director of Sheridan High School and Sheridan Middle School for the past 7 years. Has coached football for 11 years at Sheridan and basketball for 24 years at Sheridan.
Married to Kelly Dupler, who has taught 3rd grade at Thornville Elementary for the past 25 years. Has 3 children: Connor Dupler (Senior at Ohio University), Dylan Dupler (Junior at Capital University), and Abby Dupler (Sophomore at Sheridan High School).
